Our Musical Instrument Library is a free service providing musical instruments for customers throughout the region. The collection contains multiple types of instruments from strings to brass. They come in a case so are easy to transports and these can be requested and collected from any of our libraries.

Requesting is easy and each instrument is issued for 3 months at a time so you have lots of time to learn and practice your skills. If you would like to borrow our instruments look on our online catalogue and search Musical Instrument. to see what we have available and then request the one you would like to try.

Our Book Group Collection is a free service providing book sets for Book Groups throughout the region. The collection contains multiple copies of over 100 titles; ten copies of each title are supplied in a book bag and these can be collected from any of our libraries.

Requesting is easy and each set is issued for 6 weeks at a time so you have lots of time to read and discuss your choice. If you are a Book Group and would like to borrow our sets email your.library@dumgal.go.uk and ask for a membership.

 

Access to Research provides library customers free access to published academic research and journal articles. Customers can search for articles and access these from library computers. Subjects included are art, architecture, business, engineering, history, languages, politics, philosophy, mathematics and the sciences (and much more!)

Customers can search the site at home but can only access the full articles in the library.
